about the author

Wojciech Ireneusz Sobczyk

Visual artist, sculptor and graphic designer. Graduate and doctoral student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he defended his doctoral thesis under the direction of Prof. Dariusz Vasina. Currently an assistant professor at the Pedagogical University in Kraków.

Wojciech Ireneusz Sobczyk’s work includes sculpture, installation, animation, music and printmaking. His art, deeply rooted in humanistic values, draws on classical and often forgotten techniques and iconography. The artist addresses timeless questions about the nature of man, the existence of good and evil, and the essence of beauty and art.

Despite his inspiration from tradition, Sobczyk creates in a uniquely contemporary way – his works combine intellectual reflection with extraordinary precision of craftsmanship. His manual mastery and attention to detail give his works a material dimension of spirituality, creating a unique, passionate and nostalgic world of values.

about art

Ogród

Ogród is a unique installation created from papier-mâché that resembles prehistoric underwater coral reef forms. Growing organically in the space, it seems to take control of it – delicate yet dominant, it transforms the surroundings into its own microcosm.

This subtle, almost ephemeral “underwater garden” evokes a vision of the unknown depths – a land that still hides its secrets from man. For Wojciech Ireneusz Sobczyk, it becomes a starting point for reflection on a world in which humanity is giving way to new forms of life.

In her artistic journey, Sobczyk leads us into the depths of history and nature – towards the past to understand the present and get ahead of the times to come.

Ogród, Blow Up Hall

At Blow Up Hall, “Ogród” creates a site-specific installation in which vegetation takes over the industrial architecture. The light, coming in through the glass roof, constantly creates new sets and scenery for the installation. Previously, the work was exhibited 3 other places, each time fitting into the context of the location.

about the author

Justyn Oboladze

In the work of Justin Oboladze, operating under the banner of Oboladze Light Industry, applied design meets autonomous sculpture. The artist redefines the concept of lighting, treating it as a medium to explore the relationship between materiality, precision of execution and the ephemeral nature of light itself.

Rejecting fleeting trends, Oboladze focuses on timeless values, drawing inspiration from universal forms and nature. His objects are luminous works of art, the result of intricate handwork. The artist operates with noble materials – primarily brass and glass. Every element, from the hand-fired glass sheets in the kiln to the precisely designed joints, is evidence of the uniqueness of the creative process and guarantees the uniqueness of the work.
